The fourth version of the seminar Tecnodigital undertaken by the
Telecommunications Research Center (CINTEL) under the framework of Andicom Congress, will take
place on Tuesday, October 28th in Cartagena de Indias. The academic activities of the seminar are
aligned with the theme of the Congress: Technology: Creating welfare and building the future.
Since the national and especially the regional media play an important role in
developing plans to bring Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to all Colombians,
Tecnodigital4 is conceived as a seminar-workshop, where in addition to train attendees in the use
of modern technological tools that are part of the ongoing exercise of the so-called digital
journalism, will be discussed their contribution to local development of the regions in Colombia.
To meet this end, the seminar-workshop TecnoDigital4 will count, in addition to the
specialized editors in technology issues, with the presence of at least 20 journalists,
representatives of regional media in different parts of the country, that will also attend Andicom.
The training activity in technological tools for digital journalism, includes practical
exercises in creating blogs, podcasts, twiters and video podcast. On the website of Andicom will be
opened a space where all materials that journalists develop during the Congress will be posted.

The Seminar TecnoDigital4 will have as guests national and international high
level speakers invited to discuss on issues related to inputs of digital journalism for local
development, new trends, resources and the drafting manual for a digital journalist. Alike, a
debate on the factors affecting the exercise of professional communicators in the regions and
affecting the development of digital journalism will take place.
In conducting this seminar-workshop, organized by CINTEL, is key the support of the Ministry
of Communications, which holds up the convening of the regional group of journalists. Other
important players are the Casa Editorial El Tiempo, through its magazine Enter, and as in the
previous year, the Foundation for a New Iberoamerican Journalism, who has extensive experience in
structuring academic events of this kind.
