The first conference on next generation TV
in Latin America will be in Colombia.
The NexTV Summit of Cartagena will be a central day of Andicom 2008 and will have a
master conference and two discussion panels. The conference will discuss the regulatory and
technological challenges of the new generation of TV and the potential for IPTV, mobile TV and
interactive TV services in the region.
In the first panel called IPTV and Mobile TV: towards the new interactive TV, technology
providers will discuss new developments and challenges that IP technology brings. In addition,
broadcasters and cellular operators will analyze what is the model of mobile TV to be imposed in
the Andean region and Latin America and how it affects the actual business of each of them.
In the second panel, Regulating New Generation TV, telecommunications operators and
authorities in the region will discuss the entrances and regulatory barriers for the development of
TV's future in Colombia and Latin America.
