ANDICOM Congress is the annual international meeting located
on the Caribbean that gathers the telecom sector representatives, during three days, to analyze and
present the state of the art and trends of the industry. Has been recognized as “the most important
academic and business meeting in the telecom industry” of the region. The congress becomes the
meeting place for the main agents of the sector and the event that provides the necessary elements

Who Organizes Andicom?
ANDICOM is organized each year by CINTEL, the Colombian Telecommunications
Research Center [Centro de Investigación de las Telecomunicaciones de Colombia], whose mission is
to promote the development of Telecommunications and Information Technology. CINTEL members include
telecommunications operators, universities and government agencies. The board is presided by the
Colombian Minister for Communications.
CINTEL objectives include: the study and analysis of emerging technology trends
and their dissemination and implementation; providing spaces open to all sector actors for
discussion and analysis of economic, market, social, political and technology issues affecting the
industry development; promoting projects of the sector’s interest; promoting the use of specialized
technical assistance; and providing information on telecommunications development in the country
and the world.
