The
Andicom Congress is organized each year by CINTEL, the Colombian Telecommunications Research Center
[Centro de Investigación de las Telecomunicaciones de Colombia], whose mission is to promote the
development of Telecommunications and Information Technology. CINTEL members include
telecommunications operators, universities and government agencies. CINTEL Board is presided by the
Colombian Minister of Communications.
CINTEL objectives include: the study and analysis of emerging technology trends and their
dissemination and implementation; providing spaces open to all sector actors for discussion and
analysis of economic, market, social, political and technology issues affecting industry
development; promoting projects of interest to the sector; promoting the use of specialized
technical assistance; and providing information on telecommunications development in the country
and the world.
